Traffic and Society is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. Our administration employs around 110 staff members. Our mission is to develop and operate sustainable transport for a growing Uppsala County. We develop, among other things, the infrastructure and public transport within the county. Under the brand UL, public transport is operated in collaboration with contracted transport companies. Our employees have a wide range of competencies and work in areas such as operational development, procurement, urban planning, traffic planning, system management, finance, communication, sales, and customer service.

Your Mission

As a development leader, you will drive and lead assignments within the administration. Initially, the assignment involves building and leading the work to establish a cycling office, but the tasks may vary over time and also include areas such as mobility and revenue assurance.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing assignment and project plans, leading colleagues towards set goals, and identifying key activities that move the work forward. You will work on breaking down strategies into concrete deliveries, monitoring the external environment, and following up on implementation plans. You will drive improvement measures, report continuously, and prioritize between different activities and assignments. An important part of the role is also to establish and maintain external contacts and collaborate with various stakeholders to create long-term results.

Your Qualifications

Relevant education for the position or experience that we deem equivalent.

Requirements

• Documented experience in leading assignments or projects.
• Experience in breaking down strategies into implementation plans.
• Experience in executing plans and measures and following up on results.

Desirable

• Experience in leading assignments within public operations.
• Experience working in a politically governed organization.
